Brand Experience Designer
Own how Afterrealism looks, feels, and shows up — from brand identity and marketing assets to the details that make clients trust what they see.
About Afterrealism
Afterrealism is a small geospatial software consultancy in Canberra. We build maps, data platforms, and cloud systems for organisations across Australia to a standard set inside Geoscience Australia and CSIRO.
Small is the point: you work directly with the founder, your decisions ship, and you can see exactly where your work lands.
About the role
You'll own the brand experience end to end: the visual identity, the tone, the marketing collateral, the proposal templates, and every touchpoint where a client or prospect encounters Afterrealism.
This is a strategic design role. You're not just making things pretty — you're shaping how a technical consultancy is perceived by government agencies, enterprises, and the open-source community.
What you'll do
- Evolve and maintain our brand identity: logo, typography, colour, voice, and guidelines
- Design marketing assets: social, email, presentations, proposals, and case studies
- Shape the visual language of our website and product UI
- Create templates and systems that scale across the team
- Work with developers to ensure brand consistency in production
What we're looking for
- 3+ years of brand, visual, or communication design experience
- A portfolio showing strong brand identity and marketing design work
- Fluency in Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, or equivalent
- Typography, layout, and colour theory mastery
- Ability to translate technical concepts into clear visual narratives
Nice to have
- B2B, SaaS, or professional services brand experience
- Motion design or video editing skills
- Front-end sensibility (HTML/CSS)
- Copywriting and messaging experience
