Transforming Geospatial Data into Mineral Insights through ML Workflow Automation

We developed a geospatial machine learning pipeline to automate the process of data cleaning, feature engineering, model testing, and visualization.

Deployed on Australia’s National Computational Infrastructure (NCI), the workflow supports tasks such as feature ranking, hyperparameter tuning, and comparative analysis of ML models like Random Forest, XGBoost, and SVR. The system was used to map mineral potential for resources like gold, iron, and copper across Australia.

This ML pipeline helped us go from raw terrain data to highly accurate mineral insights in days instead of weeks
